Ana Tavarez is the Chief Executive Officer of Raíces del Trópico, proudly continuing her family’s legacy in the export of avocados and fresh produce from the Dominican Republic. Born into the trade and raised alongside her father’s business, Ana developed a deep understanding of agriculture and international commerce from an early age. Her lifelong exposure to the industry, paired with a strong vision for growth and sustainability, drives her mission to bring the rich flavors of the Caribbean to global markets while honoring the roots and values that shaped her path.

Maximo Almanzar is the Chief Operating Officer of Raíces del Trópico, bringing over 7 years of hands-on experience in the export of avocados and fresh produce from the Dominican Republic. Raised in the heart of his grandfather’s agricultural business, Maximo grew up immersed in every stage of the supply chain—from farm to freight. His deep-rooted knowledge of the industry, paired with a lifelong passion for tropical agriculture, positions him as a key driver in expanding the company’s global footprint while maintaining the integrity and quality his family built its name on.
